What happens to your data.

These promises keep product behavior, beta communication, and policy language aligned.

Three kinds of data

Relationship data

People, circles, glints, gift ideas, chronicles, birthdays, profile photos, settings, and preferences.

Beta feedback

Feedback text you choose to send, plus limited app context like screen, build, platform, and optional rating.

Beta analytics

Privacy-safe event data such as screen views, feature interactions, session length, build version, and bucketed counts.

Export promises

  • Export creates a point-in-time JSON snapshot.
  • Export is the current way to get relationship data out of the app.
  • Exported files are plain text and not encrypted by Little Things.
  • Export is not sync, restore, or automatic backup.

Deletion promises

Clear all data deletes the local app data Little Things manages and attempts to cancel reminders tied to that data. This cannot be undone inside the app.

Clear all data does not delete exported files, operating system backups, delivered notifications, or beta feedback you already submitted.

Retention promises

Relationship data stays local until you delete it, uninstall the app, lose or damage the device, or a beta or OS issue affects stored data.

Feedback is kept long enough to review, follow up, and turn into product work where needed. Analytics is for product signal, not relationship content.

What we should never imply

  • Export is encrypted.
  • Export is restore.
  • Delete is reversible.
  • Relationship data is stored on Little Things servers.
  • Beta analytics is anonymous or collects personal relationship content.
